Welcome to Letlo. We are delighted to have you as part of our community. Letlo provides a platform that connects hosts who have shortlets and hotels with guests seeking accommodations. By accessing or using Letlo, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions (the "Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our services.
Definitions
- Platform: Refers to the Letlo website and mobile application.
- User: Any individual or entity using the Letlo platform.
- Host: A user who lists shortlets or hotels on Letlo.
- Guest: A user who books properties through Letlo.
- Property: Any shortlet or hotel listed on Letlo for short-term stay.
Eligibility
Users must be at least 18 years old to use Letlo. By using Letlo, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
Account Registration
Users must create an account to list or book properties. Provide accurate and complete information during registration. Maintain the security of your account credentials and promptly update any changes to your information. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
Listings and Bookings
- Hosts: Must provide accurate and truthful information about their properties. This includes property details, availability, pricing, and any other relevant information. Hosts can list properties without subscribing to a premium plan.
- Guests: Must provide accurate information when booking a property and adhere to the terms set by the host.
- Booking Confirmation: Bookings are confirmed once the guest completes the payment process. Hosts are notified and expected to honor the booking.
- Check-In Process: Guests must click "Check-In" when their booking starts. If the guest does not click "Check-In" within 5 hours, the system will automatically check them in and release the payment to the host.
- Cancellations: Hosts determine their cancellation policies, which must be clearly stated in the listing. Guests should review these policies before booking.
- External Payments: Letlo cannot protect or guarantee any payments made outside the platform. All transactions must be conducted through Letlo to ensure security and support.
Fees and Payments
- Service Fees: Letlo charges a service fee for bookings, which may vary based on the property and duration of stay.
- Guest Fees: A 3% service fee is charged to guests for each booking.
- Host Fees: A 5% service fee is charged to hosts for each booking.
- Payment Processing: Payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways. Letlo is not responsible for any issues arising from payment processing.
Subscription Plans
Letlo offers two subscription plans for hosts with additional benefits:
- Professional Plan: ₦14,999 per month.
- Premium Plan: ₦25,999 per month.
Use of Platform
Users agree to use Letlo in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- Listing inaccurate or misleading information.
- Engaging in fraudulent activities.
- Violating the privacy rights of others.
- Interfering with the operation of the platform.
Privacy
Letlo is committed to protecting your privacy. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or the use of Letlo shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the relevant arbitration rules of Nigeria.
Limitation of Liability
Letlo is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform.
Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Letlo, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from their use of the platform.
Modifications to Terms
Letlo reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of any significant changes through the platform or via email. Continued use of the platform after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Termination
Letlo may terminate or suspend access to the platform for any user who violates these terms or engages in prohibited activities. Users may terminate their account at any time by contacting Letlo customer support.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Responsibilities and Risks
- Hosts: Must ensure their properties are safe and comply with all relevant laws and regulations. Hosts are responsible for maintaining their properties and addressing any issues that arise during a guest’s stay.
- Guests: Must treat the property with respect and report any damages immediately. Guests may be held financially responsible for any damages caused during their stay.
Legal Obligations
Both hosts and guests must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws. Letlo is not responsible for ensuring users comply with these laws.
Reviews and Ratings
Guests can leave reviews and ratings for properties they have stayed in. Reviews must be truthful and based on actual experiences. Letlo reserves the right to remove any reviews that violate our guidelines.
Anti-Discrimination Policy
Letlo is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive platform. Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic is strictly prohibited. Violators may be banned from using the platform.

Hosting on Letlo
- Creating a Listing: Hosts can create a listing by providing detailed information about their property, including photos, descriptions, amenities, and availability. Hosts should also specify their own cancellation policies and house rules.
- Managing Bookings: Hosts can manage their bookings through the Letlo platform. This includes accepting or declining booking requests, communicating with guests, and updating property information as needed.
- Responsibilities: Hosts are responsible for ensuring their property is clean, safe, and accurately described in their listing. They must promptly address any issues or complaints raised by guests.
- Payment: Hosts will receive payments for bookings 5 hours after the guest checks in. This allows time for any immediate issues to be reported and resolved.
Booking on Letlo
- Finding a Property: Guests can search for properties based on their preferences, such as location, price range, and amenities. Detailed listings provide all necessary information to make an informed decision.
- Making a Booking: Guests must provide accurate information and payment details when making a booking. They should review the host’s cancellation policy and house rules before confirming the booking.
- Check-In and Check-Out: Guests must click "Check-In" on the Letlo platform when their booking starts. If not done within 5 hours, the system will automatically check them in. Guests should follow the check-out instructions provided by the host.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Host’s Cancellation Policy: Each host sets their own cancellation policy, which is clearly displayed in the property listing. Guests should review this policy before booking.
- Guest Cancellations: Guests can cancel a booking according to the host’s policy. Refunds will be processed based on the terms set by the host.
- Host Cancellations: If a host needs to cancel a booking, they should do so as soon as possible. Guests will receive a full refund for host-initiated cancellations.
Damage and Security Deposits
- Damage Reporting: Guests must report any damage to the property immediately. Failure to do so may result in additional charges.
- Security Deposits: Some listings may require a security deposit, which will be specified in the property details. This deposit will be refunded after check-out, provided there are no damages or violations of house rules.
Prohibited Activities
- Illegal Activities: Users must not engage in any illegal activities on the platform or in the properties listed.
- Misrepresentation: Providing false or misleading information in listings or profiles is strictly prohibited.
- Privacy Violations: Respect the privacy of other users. Unauthorized access to accounts or personal information is forbidden.
- Disruption: Users must not interfere with the operation of the platform or disrupt other users’ experience.
Intellectual Property
- Ownership: Letlo retains ownership of all intellectual property rights related to the platform and its content.
- User Content: By submitting content to Letlo, users grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and display the content.
